Internships + Apprenticeships

Become a maker apprentice – immersing yourself in the variety of technologies and tools at the Fabrication Lab. You’ll learn how to use both digital and analog methods of creation to have a broad proficiency in making. Apprenticeships are between 1 – 4 years in duration and are open to aspiring makers ages 15 and older.

Fall + Spring Internships

Our program can be completed as a for-credit High School internship requirement. Reach out to your High School administration to inquire. Students will be trained and certified to use a 3D Printer and a laser cutter. They will also learn how to use various design software to create their own projects.

Summer Internships

Paid Summer internships are available via the Summer Youth Internship Program in partnership with the Children’s Trust, FNEI, Career Source South Florida, MDCPS, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. and South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union. Students enrolled in the Summer internship will serve as team leaders for children in our Summer S.T.E.A.M. camp program as well as develop their own projects over the 5-week program. Volunteer hours are available for time worked above the minimum program requirements.
